Outside the European Union you will not be charged 20% VAT tax but you may be liable to import duties by your country of residence. For EU residents who order a wig from Valentine Wigs, you may be eligible to 20% VAT relief if you have to wear a wig due to a medical condition.
If you are eligible to reclaim your VAT under the HMRC Reference: Notice 701/7(August 2002), please complete the VAT Relief Claim Form available for download here, once this has been sent you will need to create an account on our website and when we have received your VAT relief claim form we will be able to turn your account into a non VAT paying account. Once this has been completed we will notify you and you will then be able to place your order free of VAT. If you place your order before we have notified you that your account is a non VAT paying account you will be charged VAT.

Please be aware that there are penalties for making false declarations. If you are in any doubt as to whether you are eligible to receive goods or services zero-rated for VAT you should consult Notice 701/7 VAT Reliefs For Disabled People or contact the National Advice Service on 0300 123 1073 before signing the declaration.
By signing the form you are verifying that you are eligible to reclaim the VAT as defined in the above Notice. You only have to complete the form once for all your future orders. You can return the form by post to Valentine Wigs, 44 Croft Meadow, Bamber Bridge, Preston, PR5 8HX. Scanned copies of the form emailed to email@example.com are perfectly acceptable. Within 24 hours you will be added to our special customer group that is entitled to 20% VAT relief automatically deducted during the checkout process.
If your medical condition clears you must not claim VAT relief and you should inform Valentine Wigs of the situation. Orders should be placed by the person who is eligible to reclaim the VAT relief. If this is not possible then it is permissable for your representative to place the order on your behalf.
- Incomplete information will delay your VAT exempt account being set up.
- VAT relief can only be applied to qualifying items in your basket.
